We now have a website and we are loving it!
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?
15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.
16 If one of you says to them, “go in peace keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say “you have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us- yes establish the work of our hands.
If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.
10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest-
11 and poverty come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.
20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness” and he was called God’s friend.
24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do and he will establish your plans.
As the body without the spirit is dead so faith without deeds is dead.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in humility that comes from wisdom.
18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is a sin for them.
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
1 Timothy 5:8
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
2 Timothy 2:6
The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.
7 In everything set an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
A new church movement in Murfreesboro Tn.
Why we would start a church like this? No building. No worship band. No permanent location. No age divided ministries to start. Simple. Read the book of Acts. The church was born and thrived under persecution without any of the things that we who live now are accustomed to in Christian faith circles.
More About Us
We believe that the Lord is leading us to start a new fellowship of believers in the Murfreesboro TN area to serve others in the name of Christ with focus on those persons who serve others already and those who need assistance of various types. This fellowship will be oriented around what we do rather than simply what we believe. Our expression of faith will be in how we serve others in the name of Christ. Where does this mind-set come from?
